Position and Scope
Are you a meticulous problem solver with a passion for ensuring software excellence? We’re looking for an Intermediate QA Tester to join our team! Reporting to the QA Manager, this role is integral to the software development lifecycle. You'll review requirements and technical designs to provide meaningful feedback, design detailed test plans and cases, and manage testing activities to meet deadlines.
In this position, you’ll perform a mix of automated and manual testing, identify and track bugs, and execute thorough regression testing to maintain product quality. Your contributions will include refining testing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify system requirements, and resolving escalated software issues. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in updating product documentation to reflect new features and fixes. Responsibilities
- Participate in the software development lifecycle by reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical designs to provide meaningful feedback.
- Design and document detailed, comprehensive test plans and cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities to meet deadlines.
- Execute a blend of automated and manual testing for optimal coverage.
- Test new releases and patches and actively participate in release management.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure fixes don’t impact existing functionality.
- Develop and implement testing processes for new and existing products based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including developers, project managers, and client services, to refine system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated software issues efficiently.
- Update and revise product documentation to reflect the latest features and fixes
What you bring
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in software development and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in white-box and black-box testing methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of software QA tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Expertise in testing Java applications and web applications.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases, including query creation and data validation.
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and design patterns.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
- Keen attention to detail, with the ability to identify patterns and spot irregularities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Resilience under pressure, maintaining professionalism in high-stakes situations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and manage priorities across multiple projects.

Salary Range
- $55K-$75K
