Technical Operations Associate

Position and Scope

Are you looking for a hands-on role that can serve as a pathway to a future in technical support? As a Technical Operations Associate, you’ll be a key member of our Logistics department focusing on light manufacturing and assembly of finished goods and also assist the logistics team in daily activities.  For the right candidate, this role can be an opportunity to gain key skills to transition into a Customer Support Technician position, where you would assist customers with their technical support needs. As you develop expertise in our products, you have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities and take on customer -facing technical support tasks.  If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about technology, this role provides a strong foundation for growth within our company.


Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Operations (Initial Focus):
 
  • Assemble & test: Build, configure, and troubleshoot hardware components to ensure product quality
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of finished products, identifying defects or areas for improvement
  • Inventory & Kitting: Implement control measures, manage stock levels, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Warehouse Organization: Keep the production and storage areas efficient and orderly, ensuring tools and materials are well-maintained
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a clean, hazard-free work environment
 
Customer & Technical Support (Future Growth): 
 
  • Technical Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of our products lines to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
  • Multi-Channel Support: Transition into providing support via phone, email, and video, guiding customers through installations and problem-solving
  • Onsite Assistance: Occasionally assist with onsite installations and customer visits.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain clear, detailed records of support cases and recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction

What you bring

Education & Experience :
 
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in an IT, Electronics, or related discipline. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Experience working and repairing computers and/or small electronics.
  • 1-3 years of technical support roles is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and demonstrates technical aptitude.
  • Flexible, dynamic and able to seamlessly shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Technical Skills :
 
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting hardware and software systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a methodical approach to technical challenges
  • Excellent communication in English and ability to connect with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • CompTIA A+ strongly preferred.
 
Soft Skills :
 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Attention to detail when assembling products or documenting support cases
  • Customer focused and demonstrates strong patience and empathy when dealing with customers and end-users
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes

Salary Range

$50,000-$60,000
